UPDATE:  September 25, 2019 – On a serious note, Holly is going to be at the veterinarian’s today (all-day), undergoing ultrasound tests to determine where the Cushing disease tumor is located – on her brain or in the adrenal gland.  The test will also show if the disease has spread to other parts of her body.  I will get the results later today and update this page.  Fingers crossed! ~ Danny

UPDATE:  September 26, 2019 – Today I’m supposed to get Holly’s results from yesterday’s ultrasound tests.  She was at the vet’s yesterday from 8:00 AM until I picked her up at 3:00 PM.  She hadn’t eaten since the day before but was happy just to be home again.  I’m going for a procedure at the oral surgeon’s this morning so I probably won’t be able to update this site on Holly’s results until later this afternoon.  Thanks for all of the text and email messages of support.

UPDATE:  November 8, 2019 – Holly was at the vet’s yesterday, to get some blood work done.  She is still not responding to the medication that he prescribed and he’s already doubled the dosage.  I have to wait a few days, for the test results.  She turns 13 years old next week.

Today’s tune from Danny’s library (purchased):

  1. That is a fabulous letter and it made me laugh. I needed the laugh and I sure do hope you will be around to write many more letters about your Dad. Both of you have been through the ringer but you have come out remarkably together. Your Dad had his turn and now it is yours. But I have no doubt that even though you are having a rough time, he will love you so much and treat you special every single day. Even if you do look silly with your cone head. xoxoxo
