A Memory Scan

You probably wonder where I have been for the past few weeks and what I have been doing.

Answer:  Scanning hundreds of photographs from albums.

Recently, I purchased a new printer/scanner, and I am sorting and then scanning each of the photos – one by one, to create a digital library of photos (by category).

I have not seen many of these photos in years!

First are a few of my parents.  But I have a lot more to add in the next few days.

Dad (David Leslie St. Andrews)

Mom (Beulah Mae Puffer)

Wedding Anniversary

Danny, Grandma St. Andrews, Dad, & Robin (1971)

Next are the pets I have had over the years – in chronological order.

Jesse James the German Shepherd:

The smartest dog I have ever known.

Although I have not finished scanning all of the photos, I was able to get most of the pet photos posted.

I have many photos of homes where I have lived, friends, co-workers, cancer center, etc., which I will be posting in a future post.  And who knows – maybe, you are in one of the photos!

I hope my stories are a gift to your head and heart.

Hugs,

Danny

Today’s tune from Danny’s library (purchased):

Man of the World – lyrics

Shall I tell you about my life
They say I’m a man of the world
I’ve flown across every tide
And I’ve seen lots of pretty girls

I guess I’ve got everything I need
I wouldn’t ask for more
And there’s no one I’d rather be
But I just wish that I’d never been born

And I need a good woman
To make me feel like a good man should
I don’t say I’m a good man
Oh, but I would be if I could

I could tell you about my life
And keep you amused I’m sure
About all the times I’ve cried
And how I don’t want to be sad anymore
And how I wish I was in love

    1. Hi Alice and Peter,
Yes, we got Jesse James, the Shepherd in 1977 as a little puppy. Then after he passed, we got our first Pomeranian – Skippy, followed a few months later with Missy. Skippy and Missy were with us when we lived in North Vancouver and then later in Bedford, NS and Moncton, NB. Shortly after moving to Moncton, Skippy passed and we were heartbroken, once again. A few months later, we got Beau, from a breeder near Halifax and he and Missy moved back to British Columbia with us in 1997. Missy was the first to pass and then a few years later, Beau passed. Beau got his name after my dear Mom. Dad used to call Mom – Beau – which was short for Beulah. I got Holly Golightly while in Toronto in early 2008. She is a Coton de Tulear and she is now almost 14 years old. I hope all is well with you guys and hope that you’ll come for a visit in the future. Hugs and Love, Danny
